OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a ripple effect, impacting all of us and our work. As the world responds to this new threat, the Urban League of Middle TN saw this as an opportunity to really engage and support the community. Through the ULMT Cares Program, ULMT aims to prioritize activities for those impacted by COVID-19 providing support for African Americans and other needy families including minority-owned businesses.
EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE
MEALS AND MASKS DRIVE THRU
In partnership with churches and other community-based organizations across Middle Tennessee, the Urban League of Middle Tennessee (ULMT) will host Meals and Masks Drive Thru events each month to distribute hot meals and personal protective equipment (PPE). ULMT aims to distribute at least 500 hot meals in communities across Middle Tennessee each month.

$100 KROGER GIFT CARDS
The Urban League of Middle Tennessee will work with churches and other community partners across Middle Tennessee to distribute $100 Kroger gift cards to Tennesseans living inside of the Middle Tennessee area. Individuals may plan to pick up a gift card if they are also registered to receive a food package.

CONTACTLESS FOOD DELIVERY SERVICES
With the help of local community partners, the Urban League of Middle Tennessee will offer NO CONTACT food packaging and delivery services for up to 200 households sheltering elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities and individuals recovering from COVID-19 each week.

WEEKLY WEBINARS: THRIVING THURSDAYS
UPCOMING WEBINARS
The Urban League of Middle Tennessee will host weekly, virtual career development trainings and consultations called "Thriving Thursdays." Each week, up to 15 participants will be registered to participate in 1-hour Zoom webinar. Thriving Thursdays will cover job readiness, resume building, cover letter assistance, and submitting job applications, virtual interview etiquette, and career development consultation.
Urban League of Middle TN hosts a virtual job fair connecting individuals to jobs in the community.

In partnership with Fifth Third Bank, the Urban League of Middle Tennessee will host a timely, virtual series for small businesses and entrepreneurs in Middle Tennessee. The series is particularly designed to help minority-owned businesses recover and move forward in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
